The Tenancy Sustainment team at work

Residents in difficulty are not alone, thanks to the expertise across Soha’s Tenancy Sustainment team.

Apart from practical support the team offers, like help with settling-in or accessing benefits, the team can turn to several sources of one-off financial support. If you need this assistance, you’ll be referred to the Tenancy Sustainment team by Soha staff working in the Community Neighbourhoods, Rental Income, Lettings or Independent Living teams.

The Tenancy Sustainment team says that residents have also been eligible for external funding. They can guide you towards grants such as the Crisis and Resilience Funds of local councils. The CRF is a Government ‘pot’ allocated to your local District and can help with food, energy and water bills.

Your local Council’s grants pages are featured on the Tenancy Sustainment page of this site, but do note that not all applications to Council funds are successful.

The team also has wide experience of grants that may be awarded by local charities. They use www.turn2us.org.uk/get-support/apply-for-grants to find a good match, but you can also look up this resource yourself.
