This week we welcome 160 households to Soha

Yesterday we completed a transfer of homes with L&Q.

This means Soha has welcomed 160 households and their properties into our Soha community. Many of these homes are next to our existing properties, in areas we know well. Thanks to our community-focused neighbourhood and reactive repairs teams, our new residents will start to receive housing management support and repairs services that are already embedded in their communities.

L&Q carried out a consultation with those residents involved in the transfer, which our staff took part in. As a community mutual we also believe it’s important for residents ask questions, find out more information, and share their views when decisions are made. See more about how you can get involved with the big decisions at Soha here, and see all the ways you can join in here.

Our Chief Executive Kate Wareing says, “Welcome to the Soha community! As these residents and homes are already rooted within our thriving communities, I’m confident we can smoothly take over management so that they continue to love living in their homes for many years to come. If you’re looking to become involved, we’ve got huge amounts of opportunity for our residents – from being part of our Sounding Board to being on the Soha Board. Who better to shape and influence how Soha operates than the people who live in Soha homes? Get in touch with our resident involvement team to find out more.”
