Portfolio holders
Portfolio Holders are members of the Members’ Forum who take a particular interest in knowing and reporting on a service area. They are encouraged to report to the Head of Department, or Director, at least twice a year.
Each Portfolio Holder presents a report to the Members’ Forum at least once a year.
Portfolio Holders are Members’ Forum members and are appointed by the Forum. There are at least two Portfolio Holders for each service area; the first Portfolio Holder must be a Forum member, but the second could be a Soha member or a resident with an interest in the subject. All receive initial training and have a follow up training plan, including work shadowing.
A Portfolio Holder will hold the position for the length of their term on the Members’ Forum. At the point of standing down (whether or not they are re-elected), the post will become vacant and the Members Forum will open this to any Forum member to apply.
