What is STAIRs?
STAIRs stands for Social Tenants Access to Information Requirement scheme. It’s a UK Government requirement which launches this year. STAIRs was created after consultation with residents in 2024 showed that specific landlord information needs to be easier for social housing tenants to find.
The Government haven’t announced exactly what information they’d like us to list yet, so we’ve had a look at their themes and grouped some information that you might find useful under each one.
