Shared owners are not permitted to rent out their property, except in exceptional circumstances, but they are usually able to rent out a room. Please contact us to request permission.
Leaseholders are usually allowed to rent out their properties, subject to certain conditions. These are that
• the leaseholder will remain responsible for paying the service charges
• approval for tenants that cause anti-social behaviour will be removed
• Soha must have the name and contact details of any tenant
A leaseholder should also seek permission from their mortgage provider, to ensure they are compliant with their terms and conditions.
