Hello! We’re the Disability Action and Awareness Group (DAAG), which represents the interests of Soha residents who live either with a disability, or with someone who has a disability. This is a group where your voice can be heard, and your passion can shape and improve the services Soha provides to all residents with a visible or non-visible disability.

What do we do?
- meet at least four times a year in an accessible venue, with additional social events
- act as a consultation body on disability matters for Board, staff and co-regulation groups
- monitor the delivery of Soha’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy (our Chair and vice-Chair represent the group in the EDI working group)
- advise on proposed new strategies, policies, procedures and service standards
- comment on Soha’s development plans for accessible housing
- work with, and signposting to, external agencies to the benefit of residents with a disability
- provide feedback on activities to Forum.
Who can join?
Our group is open to all Soha residents of any age who have a disability, or live with a person with a disability. Residents may attend meetings as a carer, or bring their personal assistant with them.
Next meeting Monday 14 September from 1 to 4pm. Call the Resident Engagement team on 0800 014 15 45 (Freephone) or email ri@soha.co.uk if you’d like to know more.
