Add or removing someone from your property title (also known as Transfer of Equity)
A Transfer of Equity is the process whereby someone is added or removed from your title deeds.
If you have a mortgage on the property, you will need to contact your lender to get their consent for the transfer. They will check the financial viability. You will need to send the new mortgage documents to us so that we can check and sign them.
If someone is being added to your title deeds, they may need to pass a shared ownership eligibility and affordability assessment. Our team will pass you to our specialist shared ownership broker, who will carry out the check on our behalf. Once approved, we can then lodge the correct paperwork with land registry to complete the transfer.
